Coachmen’s Clipper line consists of three series of tent trailer pop ups in addition to the Hardside a-frame series:
- LS Series
- Sport Series
- Classic Series
- V-TREC Series
- Hardside Series
The Clipper Hardside is one of Coachmen’s two series of a-frame pop up campers. Like other a-frames, the Clipper Hardside doesn’t have pop-out beds that add additional sleeping space. Of course, that lack of sleeping space is balanced by the fact that a-frames like the Hardside don’t have any soft walls, which allows them to retain heat better in cold weather. With an optional air conditioning unit, it also allows these units to remain cooler in hot, humid weather.
Although the Hardside series lacks fold-out beds, the two floor plans make excellent use of the available space. Each features a convertible dinette bed in the front end and a flip-up bed with additional store in the back end, along with a sink, range, and refrigerator.
